Umara was raised as a follower of Hathor, the nurturing mother goddess. She soon rose in the ranks of the clergy, even at the tender age of 13 and would soon become a cleric. Even though she was poor, raised by her sick mother, Umara was happy being in the presence of Hathor and her people. But one night she went to pray at the temple and happened upon a conversation between two clerics. To her dismay, they were plotting to extort a local family for money and kidnap their daughter if they didn’t agree. The next day, she approached one of the higher clerics of the temple and explained what she heard. However, the cleric did not take kindly to this and branded her a heretic and a liar, telling her that she had no business being a follower of Hathor. She was excommunicated and banished from the community. Soon after, her mother passed away, leaving her alone in the world.
She vowed that she would bring down the corrupt evil in the world in any way she could. She left for the mountains, where she met an old master named Kemshee. Kemshee took her under his wing and taught her the ways of the warrior for seven years. On her twentieth birthday, Umara bid farewell to Kemshee and made her way into the world as a fighter of the corrupt.
